DIG DECODED – Interactive Campaign
The limited series Dig, was a top priority for USA Network. Hailing from executive producers, Gideon Raff and Tim Kring, and starring Jason Isaacs as Peter, an FBI agent stationed in Jerusalem who, while investigating a murder of a young female archaeologist, uncovers a conspiracy 2000 years in the making. The production of the suspenseful thriller was epic in scope and scale, and so was our immersive, multi-phased digital companion campaign.
Our digital strategy was to build excitement for the series and to offer fans a very rich and engaging experience that they could interact with at every step of the journey. To begin immersing fans into the world of Dig, we began with an original prequel story released in partnership with popular fiction platform Wattpad. We then layered on a digital/social scavenger hunt during our presence at San Diego Comic Con. An augmented reality app followed, to tease and illuminate more of the story and characters. And finally as the series premiered on air, we let fans dig deeper into the mystery by launching a custom digital destination with original videos, weekly content and puzzles that were tied directly to each episode. As fans interacted with the digital content, they unlocked never-before-seen clips and were entered into a Dig-themed sweepstakes.
The multi-phased and multi-platform campaign delivered over 50 million impressions across touchpoints and tons of positive fan sentiment.
